The 31-year-old was acquitted of the murder and manslaughter of Ms Wright, who plunged to her death from his Gold Coast apartment block in August, 2014.

Now a coronial investigation into Ms Wright’s accidental death could be reopened and may face further questioning, Gold Coast Bulletin reported.

James McDougall, South Eastern Queensland Coroner, is investigating the case before deciding on whether an inquest should occur.

‘The Coroner is continuing his investigation before determining whether an inquest is required,’ a Coroners Court spokeswoman told Glitter Strip Bare this week. In the event an inquest is held then Thoams will be a key witness.

Thomas and Wright met on the popular dating app and headed back to his apartment following their date.

According to reports, things between the pair began to spiral and resulted in an argument, which was recorded by Mr Thomas.

The recording was used as evidence which helped him be acquitted of both murder and manslaughter of Ms Wright, in October 2016.
