If you’re one of the millions of Australians who use food delivery apps to get dinner on the table every now and then, you could be in for the shock.
Food delivery giant Foodora has today confirmed it is exiting the country, in order to concentrate on markets overseas. The news comes as other services, such as Deliveroo and UberEats, have become increasingly visible in this country.
Foodora Australia’s manger, Jeroen Willems, says the company will ‘fully utilise its resources to ensure employees find suitable alternative roles, as well as support partners and contractors during this transition.’
‘The company, which has been a part of the Australian market since 2015, will start winding down services and close by August 20th, 2018.’
