A five-year-old boy was shot in his home at Sydney’s south west overnight.
Police responded to a call at Morison Dr, Lurnea, at around 9pm after reports the boy had been shot in the hip.
According to The Daily Telegraph, his parents took him to Liverpool hospital.
He is currently in a stable condition.
Detectives have set up a crime scene at the family home where they will carry out their investigation.
Nine News have reported the shots were fired from outside the house and may have been a drive-by or walk-by shooting. Police have not yet established a motive for the crime.
They have urged people with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
