Connie Johnson has received one of Australia’s highest honours.
During her final days, Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove visited Connie’s bedside to award Medal of the Honour of Australia for all her hard work in helping breast cancer research.
The mother of two is said to be in high spirits after receiving the well-deserved award.
Brother and Secret Life Of Us actor, Samuel Johnson shared to Facebook: ‘Her eyes danced like when we were kids. She looked so alive.’
‘Afterwards, she looked at me sideways, coz she can’t move her head too well, and she kept saying, in her weak and raspy voice…’Can you believe it? Can you believe it? Look what we did. We did something!’ he added. It came at the perfect time as Samuel said his sister’s ‘time is nigh. Let’s prepare, villagers. It’ll be very soon’ he added.
Connie and Samuel have so far raised an amazing $5 million for cancer research.
