America’s beloved television host Dr Phil has reportedly hit a skateboarder on a crossing while driving.
Law enforcement allegedly told TMZ, Dr Phil was driving out of a parking lot near Universal Studios in LA on Friday morning when he became impatient with a slow van.
The van was reportedly in front of him at a crossing.
Dr Phil then sped around the van to leave but in the process hit a skateboarder he couldn’t previously see.
The hit from Dr. Phil’s Mercedes reportedly sent the 20-year-old to the ground.
Dr. Phil then proceeded to exit his vehicle to see if the man was okay. The man reportedly recognised him, told the star he was okay, shook hands and Dr. Phil left.
Witnesses then allegedly called police who arrived on the scene to find the man retracting his statement to Dr Phil, saying his shoulder and leg were injured.
The officers reportedly called for an ambulance and paramedics advised the man to go to hospital but he declined the ride and said he’d go get checked out himself.
The police took a traffic injury report and are currently reviewing security camera footage to determine who was at fault.
