A man has been arrested charged with murder after his wife died from severe head wounds while on a luxury cruise.

According to a witness, Kenneth Manzanares allegedly killed his 39-year-old wife, Kristy Manzanares,  because she ‘would not stop laughing’ at him, reports BBC.

The witness, who has not been identified, entered the cabin in time to see Mr Manzanares covered in blood and dragging the mum-of-three’s body out onto the balcony, court documents reveal.

The witness then grabbed the victim’s ankles and tried to pull her back into the room. The suspect told the witness that the victim ‘wouldn’t stop laughing’ at him,

Fellow passenger, Jen Larson, told ABC News that panic broke out at the news someone had been attacked. The crew were apparently yelling: ‘Security breach! Security breach!’

‘We could tell by the sound of his voice that it was something really scary and really serious.’

Another passenger told KTVA that his wife had seen a ‘bruised and bloody’ man threatening to jump over the cruise-liner rails.

The cruise, which set out from Seattle, made an emergency stop in Alaska, where FBI agents took over and arrested the suspect.

The documents say Mr Manzanares told the agents ‘my life is over.’
