Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Dr. Priscilla Chan are expanding their brood!
The Facebook CEO and founder took to the social networking site to announce that the couple are expecting their second child, a sibling for their 15-month-old daughter Max.
“Priscilla and I are happy to share we’re expecting another baby girl!” he wrote in a status update.
“After our difficult experience having Max, we weren’t sure what to expect or whether we’d be able to have another child.”
“When Priscilla and I first found out she was pregnant again, our first hope was that the child would be healthy,” he continued.
“My next hope was that it would be a girl. I cannot think of a greater gift than having a sister and I’m so happy Max and our new child will have each other.”
The 32-year-old Internet entrepreneur went on to explain that his grew up with three sisters, who he considers his “best friends,” and added that he hopes he can raise his own girls to be as powerful and confident as they are
“We are all better people because of the strong women in our lives – the sisters, mothers and friends,” he penned.
“We can’t wait to welcome our new little one and do our best to raise another strong woman.”
Zuckerberg and Chan married in 2012 after nine years together.
In July 2015 the couple announced via Facebook that they were pregnant with their first child after previously suffering multiple miscarriages.
