Stan Lee, the iconic creator of Marvel Comics, has passed away at the age of 95.
The co-creator of comics such as Spider-Man, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Thor and X-Men, Lee is credited with popularising characters with complex, human personalities.
His death comes just under a year and a half after his wife Joan Lee died in July 2017 at 93. They had been married for 60 years at the time of her death.
Lee is survived by his daughter and only child Joan Celia, known as ‘J.C.’
