He claims he was hacked.

Defence Industry Minister Christopher Pyne has told Nine News his Twitter account was ‘hacked’ overnight while he was sleeping.

Mr Pyne’s account appeared to ‘like’ a video showing explicit gay pornography. The alleged hack has now sparked calls from political rivals for an official investigation, as it allegedly raises the possibility of a security breach surrounding the minister’s defence brief.

The original tweet of the video was posted on Wednesday, and Twitter shoes Mr Pyne’s official account as ‘liking’ the video in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The Defence Minister this morning tweeted that he was hacked and questioned whether someone was ‘making mischief over the plebiscite?’

The account that originally shared the video appears to be dedicated to pornography, with thousands of tweets of graphic pictures and clips.

Mr Pyne’s account has since removed it’s ‘like’ from the explicit video. But the drama isn’t over, with controversial senator Cory Bernadi demanding an investigation.
