Accused Aussie drug smuggler Cassie Sainsbury has spoken of her torment inside Bogota’s notorious El Buen Pastor jail.
Speaking out for the first time since she was imprisoned last month, the 22-year-old told News Corp that she is being bullied by her fellow inmates.
“There’s a lot of chaos here,” she said.
“Quite a few of the inmates her are very pushy with me. They push past me. They start abusing me in Spanish because they know I don’t understand it and I haven’t actually done anything wrong.”
But when asked by the publication whether she had genuine fears for her safety, the personal trainer admitted: “Not yet, but I feel like it’s not very far away.
According to reports, the prison has also neglected to treat Sainsbury for ongoing health problems.
This comes just hours after it was revealed that the Adelaide woman’s mother Lisa Evans and sister Khala had touched down in Colombia in preparation to visit their loved one behind bars.
The former business owner was arrested on April 12 at El Dorado International Airport trying to board a flight with 5.8kg of cocaine allegedly hidden in her suitcase.
