A 25-year-old man has been stabbed to death at a busy shopping centre in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.
Police are on the hunt for the man, who attacked the father-of-three in front of horrified onlookers at Elizabeth Shopping Centre around 7pm on Thursday night.
Witnesses say they saw the suspect flee on foot with a woman and a baby in a pram.
The victim was treated at the scene by ambulance officers, before being taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he later died.
Speaking to 9News, witness Will Collins described the incident as “scary.”
“There were cops going everywhere and roads getting blocked off. I saw cops and ambulances everywhere, I heard screams. It was absolutely crazy.”
“There are a lot of people very frightened right now,” he added.
Police describe the attacker as a Caucasian man in his 20’s, with short brown hair and blue eyes.
They believe the two men involved were known to each other.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.
