Brooke Skylar Richardson, 18, has pleaded not guilty to the charges which Warren County Prosecutor, David Fornshell said were ‘ based upon evidence that the infant whose remains were discovered at the defendant’s residence in Carlisle… was born alive and was not a stillborn baby.’

The coroner is yet to testify as to the cause of the baby’s death while investigations continue.

Richardson’s attorney, Charles M. Rittgers, told reporters outside the court following the arraignment that she is a ‘very good person’.

‘She didn’t drink. She wasn’t a partier or a smoker. By all measures a very good girl who helped children… She’s by all means a very good person.’

If found guilty, Richardson could face up to 5 years in prison.
