Britney Spears has shared an update on her 8-year-old niece Maddie’s recovery, following the horrific ATV accident that left her in a critical condition.
The singer took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to thank fans for keeping the family in their thoughts.
“We are so grateful to share that Maddie is making progress,” the 35-year-old wrote.
“Thankyou all for sending thought and prayers our way. Let’s all keep praying.”
This comes after a previous appeal made by the Oops I Did It Again hitmaker on Monday, asking her followers for their “wishes and prayers.”
The devastating incident saw Maddie submerged under water for several minutes, when the off-road vehicle she was driving flipped on their family property on Sunday and veered into a pond.
She was resuscitated by ambulance officers at the scene and airlifted to a hospital in New Orleans where a rep for the Spears family has revealed she is now “awake and talking.”
