British backpacker found dead in Melbourne strip club

She was left dead for up to twelve hours

A British traveller was left dead for up to 12 hours before her body was found in a Melbourne CBD strip club.

According to the Herald Sun, Stacey Tierney, was found in a room in Dreams Gentleman’s Club on Monday at 11.50am after partying with several “unidentified men”.

The men had access to the venue which is usually closed on Sundays.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the English woman’s death are yet to be determined and a post-mortem will be conducted,” a police spokeswoman said.

Investigators are reviewing CCTV however private areas of the venue are not recorded.

Ms Tierney had worked at strip clubs in the Gold Coast before relocating to Melbourne where she danced at Dreams.

The club has been opened since 2008 and offers ‘pleasure at it’s best’, with themed podium dancers, $50 lap dances and private shows available.

A friend of Miss Tierney, who gave her name as Ashley, said she is worried foul play might have been involved.

Ms Tierney’s friend Ashley said she was devastated that the 29-year-old had been left without medical assistance.

“I personally hope someone is charged for this. I’d like to see them punished. I told her not to work there. I thought it was a bit dodgy,” Ashley said.
