A busy Friday morning in Sydney suburb Chatswood has been devastated by a freak car accident which has left a woman in a critical condition.
At 8.30am the woman’s car mounded a kerb and catapulted 30 metres down the footpath, running into a pram carrying a child, before slamming into a pole and flipping on its side.
Fortunately, a spokesperson for NSW Ambulance confirmed to the Daily Mail the child was not injured, however the female driver remains in hospital.
According to the online site, witnesses raced to the assistance of the injured woman, who was lying on the footpath in a pool of her own blood with ‘both legs bent backwards.’
