The body of Melbourne mum Karen Ristevski has been found, nearly seven months after she was first reported missing.
Police have confirmed the human remains discovered by a bushwalker at the base of Mt Macedon yesterday belong to the 47-year-old.
Investigators received the results following forensic testing this afternoon.
The Avondale Heights woman was last seen by her husband, Borce Ristevski, at their home in Melbourne’s North West in June 2016.
Police are wanting to speak to anybody that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area.
