A day of fun at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast – one of Australia’s premier theme parks – has turned to tragedy and horror today, with paramedics responding to an accident on a popular ride, involving multiple victims.
According to early reports a number of people have been assisted after becoming ‘trapped in machinery’ on a ride, reported by some outlets to be either the Thunder River Rapids attraction (pictured) or the Buzz Saw, with TV news claiming there has been at least one fatality, possibly two.
The Courier Mail reports that one person may have been ‘caught in a conveyer belt’.
