Martina Big had melanin injections to darken skin and now claims her hair is ‘naturally African’.

A blonde air stewardess who dramatically transformed her appearance after undergoing extreme tanning injections now outrageously claims her hair has become ‘naturally African’.

Martina Big, 29, a glamour model from Germany, made the controversial choice to, in her perception, ‘become black’ after already spending thousands on surgery – including a breast augmentation – to enhance her looks.

Last year she underwent a new medical procedure which darkened her skin with three melanin-boosting injections.

Her incredible transformation has fascinated, offended and confused many people around the world – some of whom angrily call her claims to a new identity grossly culturally insensitive to black people – but Martina is enthusiastic about sharing her story with her social media followers.

Sharing a photo of herself with her 43,000 Facebook followers earlier this month, Martina revealed her joy after visiting her ‘African hair dresser’ and discovering the ‘structure’ of her own hair had ‘changed’.

‘I compared my own hair with the hair of the other Africans in the salon. They are identical to [mine],’ she wrote.

‘That’s the clear proof that I’m a real black woman now.’

Martina went on to say that some of her fans has asked who her role model was.

‘I do not have a solid, black role model. I just want to unfold my own black beauty,’ the former blonde wrote.

‘In contrast to cosmetic surgery, you can not plan in advance in detail how to look exactly after the transformation. For example, you can say, “I want to get darker.” That’s possible. But after the introduction of the transformation you have to wait and see what the body makes of it.’

Martina went on to say that her transformation – which happened a year ago – was an ‘internal one’.

‘The change in my skin colour was the fastest to see. Then the change in my hair colour and eyebrow colour,’ Martina claimed.

‘Then the eye colour changed. Then I clearly felt how my feelings changed. Then I saw how my hair structure changed more and more.

‘These are just a few examples of the most obvious changes. Many of my changes are very slow, but continuous. If my transformation continues to be so good, I will soon be identical to other black women.

‘I’m very proud and happy now,’ Martina concluded her post.
