A reported ‘person of interest’ in the unsolved disappearance of the Beaumont kids has been named today.
News.com.au reports millionaire and convicted paedophile Anthony Munro, 71, pleaded guilty to child sex offences in South Australia going back to 1962 – four years before siblings Jane, 9, Arnna, 7, and four-year-old Grant Beaumont disappeared.
According to the news site, police believe Munro was in the area at the time of the children’s disappearance, but they haven’t discovered a link between him and the mysterious disappearance.
It was revealed in August that an unnamed millionaire was under investigation for alleged child sex offences overseas.
The children were reported missing on Australian day when they failed to return from a day at Glenelg beach.
‘Whether there is a link with the Beaumonts, I’m quite sure they will find out soon enough’ Stuart Mullins, the Co-Author of Satin Man, a book exposing the prime suspect in the case,’ told 7 News in August.
