They’ve been named suspects in the murder of a Bali police officer, now Sarah Connor’s boyfriend David Taylor has changed his story.
The Age reports Taylor has changed his statement to ‘I don’t remember’ when it comes to Connor’s involvement in the death.
Taylor and Connor were named suspects in the death of father-of-two Wayan Sudarsa.
‘We are confident with the evidence collected to name the two suspects in the (possible) crimes of (unpremeditated) murder or group attack or assault that leads to death,’ said Denpasar crime investigation chief Reinhard Habonaran Nainggolan.
Taylor, however, insists she is innocent, claiming she tried to break up the fight.
Taylor originally said Sara told him she hit Sudarsa while on the beach.
Changing his statement, ‘He said he can’t remember Sara told him that. Sara also said she never told him that,’ his lawyer said according to the The Age.
Taylor also reportedly said Sara was the one to burn their clothes. However, he now says, ‘Maybe Sara’s match wouldn’t light up. So I took the match and it was me who lit the fire to burn the clothes. Maybe (before) I wasn’t remembering clearly.’
