A Melbourne chiropractor has been blasted over his treatment of a two-week-old baby.
Dr Andrew Arnold posted a video of him performing spinal treatment on a newborn baby to Cranbourne Family Chiropractic’s Facebook page.
Arnold is seen adjusting the baby and using a device called the activator – a spring loaded chiropractic device.
‘We’re going to use the activator on the lower setting and I’ll just show you on your hand here,’ Dr Arnold says to the person off-camera.
Victorian Health Minister Jenny Mikakos revealed that she had written to the Chiropractic Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
‘The Chiropractic Board of Australia must condemn this practice,’ she said.
The Herald Sun is reporting that the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Chiropractic Board have launched a confidential investigation into the matter.
