A shopper at Aldi on the hunt for a good meat-free feed has shared a photo of what they found when they stumbled upon the ‘vegetarian’ freezer in their local store.
It stocked only one item and as this happy shopper says in their viral tweet – that’s fine!
Why, because it was packed FULL of delicious garlic bread!
This is one of several ‘vegetarian’ freezer sections popping up in Aldi stores around the world. Maybe one day soon they will have more frozen vegetarian options to pop in there – but they don’t have to rush!
The Tweet when viral with thousands of retweets – commenters pointing out that there’s nothing wrong with a freezer full of garlic bread!
Tragically Aldi jumped in and explained that this isn’t really how it’s meant to work and he may have just gotten his favourite Aldi store in trouble.
When he asked if he’d be getting any free garlic bread out of it – like the Kit Kat burglary victim, or the Chicken McNugget guy – Aldi were also a let down:
