A 21-year-old woman has been found in a near death condition in a Brisbane apartment, following what police allege was three weeks of torture.
The woman suffered broken bones and head-to-toe chemical burns while before she was discovered in a severe state at a unit in an upmarket Brisbane suburb, News.com.au reports.
The young woman’s partner, Nicholas John Crilley, 31, called paramedics to the apartment on July 2nd.
Following a police chase, Crilley was arrested and charged with torture, acts intended to disfigure, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, deprivation of liberty and supplying a dangerous drug, ABC reports.
The woman remains in an induced coma and critical condition in hospital. Police are hoping to get more details from her when she recovers.
The case will return to court on August 7.
