Jamie Lynn Spear’s mum Lynn has broken her silence following the horrific ATV accident that left her granddaughter Maddie Aldridge in a critical condition over the weekend.
Taking to her personal Facebook page, Lynn has revealed she is staying positive amid the 8-year-old’s recovery, posting a meme reading: “Where there is hope, there is faith, where there is faith, miracles can happen.”
The 61-year-old captioned the snap, “Keeping the faith… truth.”
Members of Maddie’s family have remained at the young girl’s beside since the incident, which saw the off-road vehicle she was riding flip over on Sunday, veering into a pond. Maddie was left submerged underwater for several minutes after her mother was unable to remove her from the restraints.
The unconscious child was resuscitated at the scene by paramedics and then airlifted to a hospital in New Orleans.
Two days later a rep for the Spear’s family released a statement confirming Maddie had been removed from a ventilator and was “awake and talking.”
“She is aware of her surroundings and recognises those family members who have kept a round-the-clock vigil since the accident,” the statement read.
