It has been almost two weeks since I last breastfed Madden. I knew that this was the right time for us, but I can still be brought to tears just thinking about it as something so special, pure and true.'
Nadine went on to describe her breastfeeding experience with her son as a ‘precious time of our lives spent together’
‘You see for two whole years I bonded with my baby in a way that no one else could,’ Nadine wrote.
‘We’ve shared these special moments together, a time that has been one of the most heart warming moments of my life - and with tears filling in my eyes as I write this (ok my screen is blurry) it sure has made me reflect on the past 25 months.
‘Because for us, whilst it hasn’t always been easy, it has been the most gratifying experience - one that I could never choose the right words to say.
‘But to say that both Madden and I have been infatuated with our breastfeeding journey together would be the understatement of the century.’
Nadine went on to say she was struggling to find a word for the happiness, pride and sadness she was feeling.
‘Although [Madden] still reaches in my shirt to hold them and wants to sleep nestled in them... guess what, he seems to be just as much in love with me and we find new ways of bonding each and everyday,’ she wrote.
‘Mummies, we raise our babies up, only to let them beautifully go, bit by bit, until they’re able to go about on their own.
‘What an incredibly moving experience... what a blessing.... Ok it's time: time for this Mumma of a growing remarkable lil boy to have a proper-proud-moment-mummy-cry.’
It’s not the first time, the proud mum has been open about her breastfeeding journey on social media.
Earlier this year, the F45 trainer wrote a lengthy post defending mothers' rights to post breastfeeding pictures.
'If you've followed me for a while, you will know that I've adored the breastfeeding journey I'm on with Madden,' the mother-of-one wrote.
'It continues to be one of my life's sweetest of joys and I am gratified and incredibly passionate about it.'
