The CNN report stated that 16 people spoke to the broadcaster as part of a wider investigation, with eight claiming they were victims of harassment and inappropriate behaviour.
'Eight said they witnessed Freeman's alleged conduct. These 16 people together described a pattern of inappropriate behaviour by Freeman on set, while promoting his movies and at his production company Revelations Entertainment,' CNN said.
Entertainment reporter Chloe Melas is one of the accusers and also co-authors the CNN report.
Melas alleges she was six months pregnant when she was subjected to 'inappropriate behaviour' by Freeman during a press tour last year.
Melas said Freeman shook her hand, 'not letting go while repeatedly looking her up and down and saying more than once a variation of, 'I wish I was there'.'
That encounter sparked Melas to contact other women and begin the months-long investigation into other alleged incidences involving Freeman.
