The changes that your body goes through with pregnancy are something major, and I was not prepared, especially because it was my first pregnancy.
I gained 20 kilos. While I was losing weight naturally after the birth of my baby, I also lost a lot of muscle mass. I was freaking out, as my body shape was very different.
But setting a goal was the first step. I stopped being so hard
on myself! Taking one step at a time, the numbers on the scale slowly started to come down.
It was a slow process because stress, lack of time and lack of sleep all take a toll on healthy eating habits ... plus I love food also. Striving for mental and physical health and being the best you can be should be your priority.
Don’t compare your journey, body, life to anyone else’s – focus on your own journey and be proud of everything you achieve.
It’s very important to be patient. A little progress each day adds up to big results.
You don’t have to be extreme, just consistent.
