“I’m so, so disappointed right now. This is ridiculous. You’ve been sitting around this table treating people, telling them their food is terrible and you’re not even capable of coming back with the goods. Don’t look at me like this,” spat Manu.
“That’s just my facial reaction. We never said we were amazing chefs,” snapped back Austin.
“You shouldn’t use the word chefs,” retaliated Manu.
“Not chefs, cooks,” added Josh.
“Cooks so it’s a little annoying you question our integrity about critiquing food when all you’ve asked is honesty,” quipped Austin leaving Manu to explode in an epic rant.
“Well, let me be honest with you. Chicken and mash. The mash is boiled potatoes with raw garlic in it and maybe 10ml’s of cream in there, no seasoning whatsoever. This is ridiculous and I’ve never expressed myself like this in 10 years.”
“I’ve never, never seen Manu that angry before,” said Karito under her breath.
“I lost my appetite hours ago. Your mash is watery, there’s no body to it, it’s terrible. The snow peas are overcooked. The chicken itself is raw. The one saving thing is the little bit of heat in the sauce,” added Pete.
Romel on the other hand saw this as payback. “Josh got a serving of humble pie, to be honest.”
Despite their dessert performing well, the final scoring left them at the bottom of the leaderboard with just 31 points and they will enter the elimination cook off with Karito and Ian.
