However, Miley put the rumours to bed after commenting on a fan's Instagram post this week which questioned the status of Miley's and Liam's relationship.
"Miley sang the song 'Wrecking Ball' and she said, 'I'm fucking sick of men,' I hope Miley and Liam's relationship still going good but I'm not sure," wrote the concerned fan.
"It was politically directed," the Hannah Montana star reassured the fan in her response.
Fans were relieved to hear this, as many of them have been following Miley and Liam's relationship since they were co-stars in the film The Last Song.
Earlier this month, the Wrecking Ball singer tweeted a sweet picture of their first kiss while onset of The Last Song in 2009.

Miley and Liam got married in a secret ceremony at their home on Christmas Eve last year.
