Viewers are calling them the most picture perfect couple on this series of Married At First Sight, and Mike and Heidi lived up to their reputations by flaunting their flawless physiques on a sun-soaked honeymoon to Queensland's Whitsunday Islands in Thursday night's episode.
It seems the high temperature wasn't confined to the beach as things started heating up in the bedroom between the newlywed radio announcer and muscle-bound electrician.
"Didn't get a lot of sleep last night," Mike sheepishly announced to the camera, prompting a producer to ask if they had slept together.
"A gentleman never kisses and tells," he added, as viewers were treated to a view of the 44-year-old tradie jumping out of bed naked with only a pillow to protect his modesty.
At Heidi and Mike's wedding the attraction was obvious, with Mike declaring: "I'm a big fan of her already...there could be some real potential here."
For the first activity of their honeymoon the duo went paddle boarding and put on a tactile display, barely keeping their hands off each other.
But as the day wore on, Heidi grew concerned that her new man wasn't connecting with her on a deeper emotional level.
"He's so beautiful and so affectionate, but I feel I haven't had proper time to get to know him as a whole package. I feel we need to connect more deeply, it's not enough for me," she said, addressing the issue with Mike as they relaxed on the top of a yacht.
"I'm willing to work at this," Heidi told him earnestly, but Mike swiftly changed the subject saying: "Just don't think too much about it - you have a lovely neck!"
And things only got worse during a beach side picnic when Heidi opened up about her traumatic childhood and experience in foster care as a teenager.
Mike seemed to shut down the conversation, saying "how hot is it today?!".
Speaking to camera, the bemused construction worker said: "Honestly, I just lose focus after a while.
"It's not that I don't respect what she's saying, it's just me I switch off when a person keeps talking about the same story from every angle. I've kind of already got it."
Back on the beach, Mike sharply told his wife to "find a conclusion at some point because it's sort of like you're ranting at me".
Visibly upset, Heidi had no words but "wow".
"I'm not your therapist, this is not therapy...you went on a rant and I just had to stop you," he shot back.
"If we weren't on an island, I would run," Heidi countered coldly, and later failed to turn up for dinner with her spouse.
Only time will tell what's in store for the genetically blessed Queensland couple.
