Formula One icon Michael Schumacher's wife has given a rare update on his health, almost six years after the racing champion sustained brain injuries in a horrific skiing accident in the French Alps.
Corinna Schumacher spoke about her husband's condition ahead of the release of a documentary on his life and career, calling him a "fighter" and declaring he "will not give up".

German sports star Michael suffered traumatic head injuries on December 29, 2013 when he crashed into a rock whilst skiing with his 14-year-old son Mick on a family holiday.
The seven times 'F1' champ was placed in a medically induced coma at a facility in Grenoble, France for six months to reduce pressure on his brain, before being transferred to the University Hospital of Lausanne in his home country of Switzerland.
Since September 2014, the racing legend has been undergoing rehabilitation at his home on the shores of Lake Geneva.

In November 2014, the British Telegraph reported that Schumacher is "in a wheelchair paralysed", "cannot speak and has memory problems".
The Schumacher family have remained famously tight lipped about Michael's condition, breaking their silence in January with a rare statement saying "we are doing everything humanly possible to help him" Express.co.uk reports.
Michael and Corinna met in 1991 on the Formula One circuit after Corinna's marriage to fellow racing driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen broke down, the Telegraph notes.
The documentary on Schumacher's life is set for release on December 5, 2019.
