Dr Murray was later jailed for involuntary manslaughter.
Speaking with Kochie and Sam this morning, Martinez revealed the moment he first saw the pop god on his death bed.
"When I first saw him he was at the hospital, there was a private room where Mr Jackson was being held.
"You see him as bigger than life, on TV and in his music videos.
"He was a lot smaller than I had visioned.
This morning, Martinez revealed that it was Dr Murray's medical bag that was the smoking gun in the case.
"When he spoke to us he gave us a story that we were able to disprove...And then he told us where he had his medical bag.
"And the medical bag, there was so much evidence inside of it [that showed] him cleaning up and not giving care to Mr Jackson, but caring about himself. And [trying] not to get caught doing what he was not supposed to be doing."
In the new Michael Jackson documentary, there is an allegation that Dr Murray was attempting to 'keep Jackson under'.
"Dr Murray tried to tell us that all he was doing was helping his friend go to sleep, and he gave us a list of medicines that he gave, but when we found out what really happened, it was general anaesthesia.
"He was given a continuous drip of medicine to keep him under and prevent him from waking up, and that's why he ended up passing away because Dr Murray wasn't paying attention."
Michael Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009.
