The sister of murdered Israeli student Aiia Maasarwe has spoken for the first time about their chilling final call before her alleged rape and murder.
Ruba Maasarwe told Israeli news station Channel 13, 'We spoke on the phone on FaceTime. We spoke about the stand-up comedy she saw and when we would next meet.'
'Suddenly I heard her scream. I heard vehicles in the background of the call like there was a phone on the floor.
'There was no sign during the conversation of the horror about to happen.
'I heard her screaming and screaming and then the call was cut off.'
The Daily Mail alleges Aiia died of head injuries and had suffered blunt-force trauma.
The latest development comes after it was revealed on January 19 that 20-year-old “homeless rapper” Codey Herrmann has been charged with the rape and murder.
