The star goes on to detail how she dealt with the pain, and hopes by speaking out she can help others in a similar situation.
“I am being very honest about drinking to numb my pain but that is just a way a lot of people mask what is really going on,” she continued. "Sometimes it is too hard to cope with all the emotions I feel. But the problem has never been about sex or alcohol — it is underneath all that.”
The star says she will enter a facility in the UK in the next few weeks.
“I am speaking about this because this is a huge issue for so many people.”
The 43-year-old says she is determined to get better for the sake of her children, Phoenix, 19, Angel, 11, and Madison, six.
