Now, recent reports are suggesting the explicit tape shows Belafonte in compromising positions with another woman, and Mel B is alleged to have recorded the explosive home video herself.
A judge is expected to make a decision on whether to make the proceedings private by the end of the month.
She is apparently not keeping her thoughts to herself though. Posting to Instagram last wee, the singer caption a telling quote, it read: 'The truth always comes out in the end, no matter how hard anyone tries to hide or stop it. Lies are just a temporary delay to the inevitable.'
The bitter divorce battle has been complicated by a lawsuit from a former nanny, Lorraine, who is suing Mel B over her affair claims.
According to reports, Belafonte will only get a fraction of the Spice Girls £48 million (AUD$81.4million) fortune due to a prenuptial agreement.
Earlier this year it was also reported that Mel B is paying Mr Belafonte £30,500 (AUD$51,704) a month as emergency spousal support and is covering his legal fees to the tune of £106,900 (AUD$181,220).
