What we do know is no matter where the baby is born; according to sources the Duchess of Sussex is determined on having a "natural birth".
Friends have allegedly said that Meghan has not completely ruled out a hospital delivery in the event of premature birth or the need for an epidural or cesarean.
When asked whether Meghan would prefer a home birth, one friend told the Daily Mail: “It is her favored choice. But it obviously depends on how things are nearer the time.”
Another source revealed a similar notion to Vanity Fair suggesting that Meghan's upbringing is the reason behind her preference for her birth method.
"Her mother is very into anything that is holistic and natural, and having been brought up with yoga and mindfulness, it’s all very much part of Meghan’s birth plan," the source told Vanity Fair.
The source continues to say how Meghan's preparations for childbirth have included hiring a doula, undergoing acupuncture and learning the Hypnobirthing technique, which is a fairly common pain management practice rooted in self-hypnosis and deep relaxation.
However, considering Meghan's age and that this is her first child, it seems very likely that doctors would advise her to deliver her newborn in a hospital.
While Baby Sussex's due date hasn't been officially revealed, Meghan has hinted that the littlest royal is expected to arrive between late April and early May.
Another speculation into Meghan’s birth plans is that it will be at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in London, which is where Kate Middleton delivered all three of her children with Prince William, and where Princess Diana delivered both Princes William and Harry.
A source told Page Six that they would be "hugely surprised if Meghan didn't give birth at the Lindo Wing" suggesting the hospitals has the appropriate "security and resources needed for a royal birth."
To add to that, The Telegraph reported that staff at the Lindo Wing were instructed, "not to take holiday in April" which just so happens to be the month that Meghan's expecting.
Either way, Prince Harry is planning to be by Meghan’s side for the birth of their first child, “every step of the way”.
