Wearing a chic workwear look in a white blouse, tailored black pants and a brown leather belt, Meghan wore a set of butterfly earrings that the Princess of Wales donned on a trip to Canada on May 3, 1986 – only a year after she gave birth to Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry.
That wasn’t Meghan's only Diana tribute.

The 38-year-old former actress also wore a cuff bracelet with blue stones and diamonds, another one of Diana’s favourite pieces of jewellery. The people’s princess once spotted the stunning bangle while visiting the Lord Gage Centre for Old People, a Guinness Trust Home, in East London in 1990.

Meghan has worn the stunning pieces before. The Suits actress wore the animal-themed earrings while on her Australian tour, wearing the butterflies during her visit to Sydney in October. Meghan finished off the look with an elegant white sleeveless dress by Australian designer Karen Gee.

Jeweller Pippa Small spoke to PEOPLE about the significance of Meghan wearing a piece that belonged to the Duke of Sussex’s mother.
“That was a beautiful symbol and a lovely gesture,” Ms Small said.
“She made them look totally contemporary, and it really showed the emotional value of the jewelry.”
