Meghan Markle and her future sister-in-law have more in common than similar taste in men, it turns out, the Suits actress and the Duchess of Cambridge are the only two British royal brides who have actually graduated from university.
Meghan attended the Chicago campus of Northwestern University, graduating with a bachelor's degree: a double major in theatre and international studies.
During her time at uni, Meghan was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, the sorority who recently released her 2001 yearbook photo.
Shortly after her graduation, Meghan worked at the US Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina, before pursuing acting.
Prior to landing her career-changing role as Rachel on Suits, Meghan was close to giving up her dream of being an actress for good.
"I was in my early 20s, still figuring so much out, and trying to find my value in an industry that judges you on everything that you're not versus everything that you are. Not thin enough, not pretty enough, not ethnic enough, while also being too thin, too ethnic, too pretty the very next day," she wrote in an essay for Darling magazine.
