WATCH the new trailer for the ninth season of Suits to see how Meghan will appear:
Her co-star Patrick told Entertainment Tonight he will return for the final season of Suits as Mike Ross - and, according to Marie Claire Australia, his scenes include the Duchess of Sussex.
The actor revealed Meghan won't physically be on-screen, but producers have found a way to weave her in through flashbacks and clever soundbites.
"There's phone calls with Rachel saying, 'Goodbye, I love you,' and, you know, I think there's some obvious acknowledgement that she's still there and a part of the show," Adams said, revealing the TV couple are still "happy" after their move to Seattle.
Earlier this year, Suits creator Aaron Korsh hinted new mum Meghan would feature in the final season one way or another, declaring "you never know" when asked about the cast.
Suits is known to enjoy a special place in the Duchess of Sussex's heart, after she made many of her current closest friends during her seven seasons on the series.
Many of Meghan's co-stars attended her royal wedding to Prince Harry at St George's Chapel in Windsor in May 2018, with Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres and Rick Hoffman all present, as well as former Suits cast member Abigail Spencer.
Spencer was also one of the guests at Meghan's lavish New York City baby shower in February.
The final installment of Suits concludes the saga of high flying New York lawyer Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and his legal team, comprised of Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty), Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce), Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres), Katrina Bennett (Amanda Schull), Alex Williams (Dulé Hill), Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) and Samantha Wheeler (Katherine Heigl).
The final season of Suits will premiere on Netflix.
