As the world prepares for another royal baby, speculation is already mounting as to what The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will name their baby.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to welcome their first child in Autumn, and according to Prince Charles, the couple already have a long list of options.
"Incidentally, ladies and gentlemen, my son Harry tells me that during their recent tour of Australia, he and his wife were offered countless thoughtful suggestions for the naming of their forthcoming baby," Charles said back in November.
"Just between us, I suspect that Kylie and Shane may possibly make the shortlist."
While, we think that Kylie and Shane would be a lovely nod to Australia, Meghan and Harry have stayed tight-lipped when it comes to possible names.
But, that hasn’t stopped the public from placing bets on what the royal tot will be called.
Of course, when it comes to royal names, there is a long tradition of passing down family names. So, it’s no surprise that Victoria is a front runner at 8/1 according to betting site Ladbrokes.
Diana, the name of Harry’s mother is close behind at 10/1. The Duke and Duchess have payed tribute to Diana previously with Meghan often wearing her jewelry. However, Diana is one of Princess Charlotte’s middle names so they may want to opt for something else.
If the baby is a boy, Philip, named after Harry’s grandfather is also a hot contender at 10/1. Albert at 10/1 and Arthur at 12/1 are also popular options.
Other popular options include, Alice, James, Mary and Alexander.
But, at the opposite end of the spectrum names the couple are unlikely to choose include, Donald at 250/1, Piers at 200/1 and Winston at 100/1.
We will just have to wait and see what name the couple choose!
