Among her many engagements of the New Year was a secret meeting at Kensington Palace with New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden on Monday.
According to TVNZ reporter Joy Reid, the visit was to “recognize their recent successful visit to [New Zealand]” during the couple’s royal tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand in October.
The then-newlyweds were greeted by a beaming PM when they arrived at arrived at Wellington International Airport Military Terminal back in October and then spent what looked like a joyous night at the welcome reception at Government House in Wellington.
The trail-blazing Jacinda Arden, 38, is the worlds youngest female head of government and the second elected head of government to give birth while in office.
Arden gave birth to her daughter Neve Te Aroha Ardern Gayford in June 2018 and made history by bringing her then 3-month-old daughter to the United Nations Assembly Hall in New York City.
What we would give to be a fly on the wall in a meeting between these two amazing women!
