Prior to assuming her role as the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle was a Hollywood actress made famous for her role as Rachel Zane on Suits.
Although Meghan mixed in the high-flying circles of Hollywood's A-list, it was nothing compared to how she was going to have to act in front of the Royal Family, especially Her Majesty, the Queen.
According to the Daily Mail, prior to meeting Prince Harry's grandmother, American-born Meghan wanted to learn the British way of doing things, enlisting the help of London-born etiquette expert Edmund Fry.

According to the publication, the lessons - which are held at the Rose Tree Cottage tea room in Pasadena, California - helped the Duchess of Sussex learn everything from how to drink tea the correct way to how to 'handle' a fork.

“She enjoyed it so much that she wanted to come back,” Mr Fry revealed.
“The younger generation doesn’t know what bone china is and certainly doesn’t know anything about how to handle a cup and saucer or how to handle a knife and fork.”
“They come to us mainly to find out, ‘What should we do, as we are having this social event?’” Fry continued.

“The same sort of thing happened with Meghan. She knew she would be having tea with the queen. Here, they really do not know what to do. What we have found is that we give them a little information if they are interested and watch what happens.”
