Express suggested that Meghan is yet to express an interest in taking on a military appointment, and is instead focusing on social issues, environmentalism and women's leadership.
Presently, Kate holds the position of Honorary Air Commandant of the RAF Air Cadets.
The Duchess of Cambridge is famously passionate about issues facing young people and education, making the Air Cadets program perfect for her.
The RAF train youths between the ages of 12 and 20 in flying, outdoors and leadership skills.
The publication also pointed out that Meghan still doesn't hold British citizenship - a likely obstacle in gaining a British Armed Forces position.
Furthermore, Express argued that the Duchess of Sussex's entry into the Royal Family is still fairly recent.
The 38-year-old received her first royal patronages in January this year - within a year of her royal wedding with Prince Harry- and became a patron of the National Theatre, The Mayhew, the Association of Commonwealth Universities and Smart Works.

This timeframe is comparable with the Duchess of Cambridge, who became a patron of the Royal Foundation in October 2011, the same year she married Prince William.
In addition, Kate didn't receive her Air Cadets appointment from Prince Philip until December 2015.
Other female royals that are yet to hold military appointments include Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York (despite her husband Prince Andrew’s long-standing service in the Royal Navy).
Their daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie also don't hold any military honours due to the fact they are not senior "working" royals.
