While the post was met with wide support (and more than 150, 000 likes), many of their Instagram followers noted the typo in the famous quote, as the first "women" was spelled "woman" in the original quote from Maya Angelou.
According to the post, one follower commented, “Woman is singular, women is plural, please fix first sentence, embarrassing!” while another wrote, “Each time a ‘women’ stands up? Come on, you’re royalty. Please proofread.”
They were joined by several other followers, however many praised the Duchess for sharing the empowering message.
“Thank you Meghan for this important reminder to women all over the world!” wrote one fan.
Another added, “Great quote from a great woman. Meghan we stand with you.”
“Maya was a true icon. Just as you are Meghan,” said another.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (who share five-month-old Archie) often share motivational quotes on the SussexRoyal Instagram account - a fact that their 10 million followers appear to enjoy.
Last month, an Instagram post that included wise words from the Dalai Lama was met with over 200, 000 likes.
