Speaking exclusively to New Idea, Thomas, 52, said: “My grandmother Doris had three boys ... my mum Roslyn had me first then my sister, Samantha. I know there was a lot of speculation about pink things at the baby shower, but that could just be hearsay.
“In the family overall we have more first-born boys – I had two boys, Thomas and Tyler.”
Rumours are also swirling that Meghan, 37, is likely to give birth earlier than expected but Thomas Jr, thinks it’s likely she will have her baby right on time as there is no history of children being born early or late in the family.
“I don’t think we will give birth early – that doesn’t happen. Most people have had mainly natural births. So, I think she will opt for that.”

Thomas Jr added: “Hopefully my dad will be present for the birth. He would love that and would be devastated if he isn’t allowed. “However, he is not expecting it to happen.”
He added that the rest of the family think it is unlikely they will ever get to meet the royal tot. “It seems obvious she is never going to have any contact with anyone in her family,” he said.
But they are hoping the mum-to- be will have a change of heart: “Now she is going to be a mother and is starting her own family she will be able to mend bridges with us.”
