There are also reports that the new royal staff member replaced Sergeant Bill Renshaw, who has frequently been spotted with Prince Harry over the years.
Meghan and Harry's new bodyguard is thought to have been trained by Kate Middleton's security, Sergeant Emma Probert, who, if you didn't guess from her name, is also a woman.
"It's expected that a new female bodyguard would learn the necessary ropes with Emma first. It would be a trial period to make sure she is the right woman for the job. And if so, she would then be transferred to Meghan and Harry's team," the International Business Times reports.
