Meghan, whose first child with Prince Harry is due in April, has been open about her strict vegan diet and is believed to have chosen the vegan paint because the infusion of rosemary and eucalyptus enhance memory and boost the immune system, The Sun reports.
An alleged source told The Sun that the 37-year-old is also installing childproof windows and a $90,000 eco boiler as part of the $5 million renovations to the Queen's property.
The Sun reports that Meghan has enlisted the help of legendary design director Vicky Charles to help her decorate the nursery, and has chosen a monochrome palette of white and greys to adhere to her gender-neutral theme.
Meghan has reportedly searched high and low for paints that do not contain milk or beeswax as a binder, a source telling The Sun: "Meghan has been looking long and hard at paints for the Sussex nursery.
"Rather than opt for fashionable Farrow and Ball paint in favoured shades such as Wevet, Peignoir and Pavilion Grey and Salmon, the Sussexes are much in favour of The Organic & Natural Paint Co’s Auro range for the nursery."
