Despite Sydney’s stormy weather, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry battled the elements to arrive at the ceremony held at Bennelong Restaurant on October 19.
The Duke of Sussex said he was “a bit worried” about the weather for the Opening Ceremony of the Invictus Games.
Heavy downpours and an electrical storm hit Sydney in the hour leading up to the scheduled start time of 7.30pm.
The event was delayed for an hour.
Speaking to New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian at a pre-Games reception, he said: “I was a bit worried.
“Thankfully it looks like the sky is clearing now.”
During his speech on stage Prince Harry thanked Australia for its commitment to Invictus and expressed how proud he was to introduce his wife, Meghan and 'announce their newest edition'.
“First of all, thank you for the welcome you have given Meghan and I over the last few days.
“I have been so proud to be able to introduce my wife to you and we have been so happy to be able to celebrate the personal joy of our newest addition with you all," Harry said.
Meghan who is four months pregnant stunned in the coat created by the X Files star.
Earlier this year actress Gillian Anderson created a capsule collection of simple, well made pieces.
Speaking to Harper's Bazaar about her transition from acting to fashion, she said it wasn't something she planned.
"It wasn't something that I really had an interest in getting involved in before," Gillian said.
Earlier today, Meghan attended the Invictus challenge wearing a white Altuzarra 'Acacia' blazer, teamed with matching 'looker' denim jeans from Los Angeles brand Mother.
The Duchess accessorised with Illesteva sunglasses and a pair of Tabitha Simmons 'Millie' heels.
Before the challenge Meghan attended an an Anzac ceremony in an elegant black frock by New Zealand designer Emilia Wickstead, paired with a Phillip Treacy hat.
