It’s because it is definitely not proper etiquette to have bad breath while making visits and also because the Queen just hates it. Meghan isn’t the biggest fan of green juices, as she told Delish that, "green juice is a food-as-medicine philosophy for me." But if push comes to shove she might have one.
Megahan also told Delish that after working on Suits in Toronto, Meghan supposedly mastered poutine, a famous Canadian specialty, which pretty much is fries smothered in cheese curds and gravy. Many people, though, use the wrong kind of cheese she says, "It's got to squeak when you bite into it. Really. The cheese curds should make a squeaking noise when you bite into them or squeeze them. That's how you know you've got the right kind."
Though she isn’t actually allergic she just swears it’s the way to radiant skin Meghan does admit that, "However, when I'm traveling, I won't miss an opportunity to try great pasta.”
A friend convinced Meghan to slow-cook zucchini for four to five hours, until it breaks down into a mushy like substance, which you can toss with pasta. "The sauce gets so creamy, you'd swear there's tons of butter and oil in it, but it's just zucchini, water and a little bouillon," Meghan says.
As we all do, wine is a must, especially for Meghan. The new royal admits that vino is one of her secret vices. Her favourite of course is Tignanello, she loves it so much she named her new lifestyle website after it, but made sure to make a little side not that, "in the summer, though, when I'm out with my friends, it's rosé all day."
Meghan has also made it no secret that she loves an acai bowl for breakfast. She made her favorite acai bowl recipe on EyeSwoon, which includes bananas, berries, almond milk, coconut flakes, manuka honey, and bee pollen.
Meghan swears the secret to her stunning complexion is by having a glass of hot water with lemon every morning, which she'd follow that up with steel-cut oatmeal and banana.
As much as the rest of her food habits go she will always have a side of protein. Meghan likes steak, with her own little steak hack which she told Delish, is to squeeze lemon all up on the meat right before serving, "It really brings out the steak's flavor."
As bad as snacking goes Meghan usually stocks up on a few almonds if she’s still feeling a little peckish. She also enjoys watermelon with a variety of seasonings. "I have always loved watermelon and relish any opportunity to eat it, whether plain or diced up with feta and mint and tossed with a little olive oil," Markle revealed to Today. "It makes me think of summertime. On set and at home, I try to always have a container of watermelon sprinkled with cinnamon because it elevates the flavor just a notch, and makes it feel special."
Fries for life
We all have our guilty pleasure, Meghan admits to Delish that "I'm always hoping I'm having lunch with people, so we can share fries. It's its own food group for me."
As you can imagine being the duchess isn’t easy, there are lots of long lunches, which don’t leave her overly hungry for dinner so Meghan would usually opts for a soup for dinner.
