Luminary Bakery is an all-female bakery which provides a safe and professional environment where disadvantaged women can grow.
According to their website, the bakery offer courses, work experience and paid employment, all with the hope of empowering women to build their careers.
The new mum even sent the bakery a hand-written thank you letter for their contribution to British Vogue's September issue, which Meghan guest-edited.
The handwritten letter reads: “When I knew I would be secretly guest editing the September issue of British Vogue, including Luminary Bakery was non-negotiable."
Speaking with Good Morning America, Alice Williams - the founder of Luminary Bakery - spoke about the tremendous impact Meghan Markle spotlighting their cause has had on the small business:
"To have someone like the Duchess acknowledge us and champion us is incredible.
"We're really hoping it will enable us to grow. There's so many more women that need opportunities so we really want to be able to offer those to women."
Caoimhe Bennett, a baker at Luminary, also spoke with Good Morning America about the impact the Duchess has had on the bakery.
"When I applied for this job I did not expect that I’d be making a cake for Duchess Meghan Markle.
"That was pretty crazy and being in Vogue, that’s amazing."
And so the birthday celebrations continue!
